New Perini Navi State of Grace is Available for Luxury Sailing Yacht Charters

This new 131-foot Perini Navi is hull number one in a new line known as the 40 M Fast Cruiser.

State of Grace is just the second Perini Navi to be constructed entirely at the Italian builder’s shipyard in Istanbul, Turkey, which previously was used to build the 289-foot Maltese Falcon, and she is by definition the first yacht of her kind to become available for luxury yacht charters anywhere in the world.

Constructed of aluminum, the State of Grace is expected to be a performer in all conditions.

State of Grace will spend summers in the Mediterranean and winters in the Caribbean, with four staterooms for eight guests. They will be treated to a serious display of modern sailing yacht technology, with State of Grace having been designed by in-house Perini Navi architects in conjunction with New Zealand-based yacht designer Ron Holland.

State of Grace is built entirely of aluminum, keeping her displacement to just 220 tons and making her a serious performer in virtually any weather conditions. She has a nearly 13,000-square-foot sail plan that takes just a single crew member to operate, thanks to an innovative Perini Navi sail-control system. Her mast is 164 feet tall with a furling boom and standing rigging built from carbon fiber. And her sails are laminated to guarantee performance characteristics, too.

When the day’s sailing is done, State of Grace charter guests can retire to the split-level indoor salon, which includes a dining room as well as a sitting room. The full-beam owner’s suite has a gymnasium if anybody still has energy to burn, or guests can take an after-dinner swim off the hydraulically lowering swim platform.

YCO Yacht says the lowest weekly base rate to charter State of Grace is $115,000; stay tuned for more news out of this new Perini Navi line of performance sailing yachts, too, since a 70-meter version is expected to launch in 2015.
